Ever lost a friend over money? It’s more common than we think.
It’s tough when things get awkward, right?

I’ve learned a few hard truths about money and friendships. These simple rules, drawn from my own experiences, have saved me from heartbreak. Let me share them with you.

Rule #1: Give Money, Don’t Loan It

Years back, I loaned a friend $300. You’d think that’s a simple favor, right?
But expectations kicked in. I waited, they dodged, and eventually — we drifted apart.

Now, I live by this rule: If I give money to a friend, I don’t expect it back.
If it comes back, it’s a pleasant surprise. If not? Well, no hard feelings.

So, let go of that attachment. Keep the friendship simple. Just give.

Rule #2: Say “No” to Fast Money Schemes
